Moldovan state to support development of infrastructure of Soroca subzone of Ungheni-Business Free Economic Zone

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Soroca settlement will benefit from two construction contracts worth 7.7 million lei (385,000 euros) for the implementation of the project, Creation and development of the technical and municipal infrastructure from the Soroca subzone of the Ungheni-Business Free Economic Zone (FEZ).    

The North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), Spivan Ltd company, the Commercial and Industrial Firm (FCI) Capital Ltd and the Soroca city hall last week signed two construction contracts within the project, Creation and development of the technical and municipal infrastructure from the Soroca subzone of the Ungheni-Business Free Economic Zone, financed from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL). ‘’Under the construction contract signed with Spivan Ltd, during four months after the reception of the order on the starting of the fulfillment at the latest, the economic operator committed to carry out works of construction of the system of supply with natural gas with a length of 3,960 metres,’’ ADR Nord said.

According to the construction contract signed with FCI Capital Ltd, during three months after the reception of the order on the starting of the fulfillment at the latest, the economic operator committed to carry out works of setting the power line in cable of 10 kV with a length of 3,000 metres. The value of both construction contracts is of more than 7.7 million lei and the contribution of the Soroca city hall is of 10 per cent of the contracts’ value.   

„Within the same project, after the finishing of the public procurements’ procedures, another construction contract is to be signed for the carrying out of the works on construction of two access ways, with a total area of 2,150 square metres and for the carrying out of the land management works on an area of 17.6 hectares.  The results of the project will contribute to the creation of an economic platform for the economically active residents from the Soroca city and the proximal region,’’ ADR Nord noted.   

The director of ADR Nord, Maria Prisacari, stressed that the entrepreneurs were to carry out the works specified in the construction contracts in accordance with the provisions of the technical projects, with the details of fulfillment, as well as with the norms, standards and technical regulations in force.   

ADR Nord implements seven new projects on urban development and revival in northern Moldova from FNDRL’s funds this year.
