Moldovan deputy PM for European Integrations pays visits to Brussels, Berlin

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov pays a working visit to Brussels on 11-14 March and on 15 March, she will make a visit to Berlin.     

According to the government’s communication department, the official will leave for Brussels along with decision-makers in charge of the European legislation from the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, Interior Ministry, Finance Ministry, Health Ministry, Education and Research Ministry, Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry and Environment Ministry.  

The delegation is also made up of representatives of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) and other public institutions. During these days, the delegation will participate in more explanatory sessions on the EU’s legislation, with emphasis on the Chapter 2: Free movement of employees; Chapter 3: Rights of establishment and the freedom to provide services; Chapter 7: Intellectual property right; Chapter 8: Policy in competition sector; Chapter 9: Financial services. The sessions are part of the process of assessment of the European legislation, within which the European Commission presents and explains each chapter of the EU’s legislation.       

On 15 March, Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov will pay a visit to Berlin, where she has scheduled more meetings with German officials, including Minister for Europe and Climate Anna Lührmann.  

During her stay in the German capital, the Moldovan official will participate in the conference, Consolidation of Europe – simultaneous management of enlargement and of the reforms in EU, organized by the Greens Parliamentary Group from the Bundestag.
