Applications on assistance for farmers hit by 2023 year calamities can be submitted in Moldova till 15 March

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) warns that 15 March is the deadline for the farmers to submit applications for benefiting from financial assistance meant for the partial compensation of the damages caused by the natural calamities from 2023. The government allocated 50 million lei from the intervention fund, in order to back the farmers hit, especially for the damages inflicted by the drought from 2023 at the maize crop; destructions caused by the 25 July 2023 storms and rains with hail to the fixed means (fruit-trees plantations, greenhouses) from the northern Edinet.      

To benefit from this assistance, the farmers should meet the following criteria: hold an inspection report on the damage caused by the calamities from 2023; have a bank account in the national currency; the maize cultivators should have the statistics report No 4-AGR, Totals of sowing for harvest, registered at the statistics territorial body till 3 June 2023 (this requirement is applied only to those who manage an area larger than 10 hectares);

Also, the file must include the application on the providing of the financial assistance for maize or the application on the providing of the financial aid for the fixed means destroyed; declaration on one’s own responsibility on the completeness of the application and the truthfulness of the information of the file and the truthfulness of the information from the documents unveiled; the copy of the certificate of registration of the peasant’s farm or the extract from the state Register of the legal entity; the copy of the inspection report on the damages caused to agricultural crops/fixed means by the natural calamities from the 2023 year; statistics report No 4-AGR, Totals of sowing for harvest, registered at the territorial statistics body (only the applicants who manage more than 10 hectares of farmland and who are hit by the drought at the maize crop); the copy of the act on the foundation and of the passport of the project of the multiannual plantation, as case may be; certificate of confirmation issued by the representative authority of the first-level local public administration.
