Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court today ruled that the ‘’Romanian language’’ remains in the entire legislation of Moldova, including in the Constitution.

More lawmakers have earlier submitted a notification to the Constitutional Court, thereby demanding the verification of the decision on the change of the name of the state language from Moldovan into Romanian, in the entire legislation of Moldova, including in the Constitution.

Thus, the MPs appealed a law which imposed the replacement of the words ‘’Moldovan language’’, ‘’state language’’ ‘’official language’’, ‘’our language,’’ ‘’mother language’’ in all normative acts adopted by the parliament by the words ‘’Romanian language.’’
