Moldovan PM unveils most important projects due to be implemented in next two years

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today unveiled the most important projects due to be implemented in the next two years. Among them, there is the finishing of the feasibility study for the construction of the first motor highway from Moldova: Ungheni-Chisinau-Odessa, the finishing of the repair of the Chisinau Circus, construction of the road bridge from Ungheni and of the high-tension line Vulcanesti-Chisinau.    

„We talk about the construction of the Leuseni-Hancesti road, the finishing of the Soroca-Arionesti-Otaci road, the works for which were de-blocked after more than ten years and which means 40 km of European road in the northern region of the country and which is expected by more than 80,000 citizens. The Chisinau-Giurgiulesti road, through bypassing at Vulcanesti and Slobozia Mare, through which we will make the direct connection with Moldova’s only port at Danube,’’ Dorin Recean said.      
 
Another project regards the construction of a new segment of the Moldovan capital’s belt road, which will ease the traffic and will have four lanes on a distance of almost seven km.   

In the energy field, the cabinet is set to build the high-tension line Vulcanesti-Chisinau, which will ensure the energy independence of Moldova and access to the Romanian and European electric energy markets. At the same time, 80 apartment blocks, 600 private houses and 15 medical institutions will benefit from energy efficiency projects and 60,000 households will receive eco-vouchers, which will allow changing the electric apparatus by new, more saving ones.  

Another project is focused on the modernization of a segment of 150 km of railway Ocnita-Balti-Ungheni-Chisinau-Causeni. The rehabilitation of the railway will start this spring and will substantially increase the speed of movement of the trains in Moldova.      

The finalization of at least ten model schools out of those 35 ones is planned in the education sector; this means capital repair, endowment at the European standards, renovation of sports fields, arrangement of yards, ensuring the energy efficiency and implementation of digital technologies. At the same time, the sanitary units are to be renovated and endowed in over 150 schools.
