Moldovan president says European Union big, ever more open market for Moldova's products

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has visited a factory of dairy products the Soroca city, during a working visit paid to the northern region. The factory provides 165 jobs and contributes to the country’s budget and the quality of the products is appreciated on the local market, as well as abroad.     

President Maia Sandu stressed that the war from the neighbour country had created difficulties for more economic agents. Yet, through the common efforts of the governance and the economic environment, these problems can be overcome, by investing in quality, promoting the good name of the country and conquering new markets.   

„The European Union is a big and ever more opened market for our products. About 65 per cent of the Moldovan exports go to EU and our producers in 2023 won about 47 billion lei on the European market. We will continue exploring also other markets, where the quality of our products is appreciated,’’ the head of state noted.
