Policemen detect over 600 drivers moving without safety belt coupled in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen have sanctioned over 660 drivers within the Safety Belt operation.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), 601 drivers did not have their safety felts coupled and 61 were carrying children without the mechanism of adaptation for minors.
The Safety Belt operation is an action of enforcing the law, coordinated at the European level by policemen from each ROADPOL member country.
The action was held during one week and was aimed at enhancing the degree of awareness about the importance to have the safety belt coupled and the use of chairs for children in vehicles.
