Registrations start for Eurovision Moldova 2026; Moldova 1 TV station launches National Selection
The Teleradio-Moldova company (TRM) has announced the opening of the registration period for Moldova’s National Selection for Eurovision 2026, the competition that will designate the artist representing Moldova at the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, TRM has reported.
According to the official statement, participation files can be submitted during November 7 - December 7, 2025. The selection process will include three stages: evaluation of applications, live auditions and the National Final, after which the country's representative will be chosen.
Under the regulations, there songs submitted must be original, not exceed three minutes in length, and must not have been published before September 1, 2025.
The necessary documents and the complete regulation of the competition can be consulted on the official website www.eurovision.md.
For the first time, TRM has appointed two official producers of the competition – Serghei Orlov and Roman Burlaca, who will coordinate the selection process, evaluate the songs, and create the list of finalists. They will also provide artistic and logistical support to the competitors, both in the national stage and in preparation for the international competition.
The 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Vienna, Austria, in May 2026. The two semifinals are scheduled for May 12 and 14, and the grand final will take place on May 16.
Moldova will thus mark its 20th participation in the renowned music contest. The country's best result was achieved in 2017, when the band SunStroke Project ranked 3rd with the internationally hit song, Hey Mamma.
