Railway of Moldova enterprise to increase freight transport tariffs by 15 per cent as of November 1

The Railway of Moldova (CFM) enterprise will increase rail freight transport tariffs by 15 per cent starting from November 1, 2026. The adjustment applies to export, import, transit and domestic shipments and is justified by the company by the rising costs of oil products.

The subject was discussed at a today’s joint meeting organized by CFM with representatives of economic operators. The meeting also addressed issues related to the organization of rail freight transport.

According to the company, the transportation of Moldovan grain will remain a priority, in order to support agricultural producers and facilitate exports.

CFM representatives said that all economic operators would receive equal treatment, without favoring or selectively prioritizing certain partners.

In addition, the company will continue cooperating with the Customs Service, in order to ensure compliance with the deadlines for transit across the territory of  Moldova.

CFM says that the dialogue with economic operators will continue, as cooperation with the responsible institutions is important for making rail freight transport more efficient and supporting the national economy.
