Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with Ambassador of Canada
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Gavin Buchan, Bucharest-based Ambassador of Canada to Moldova, who paid a farewell visit on the occasion of the conclusion of his mandate.
A distinct topic of the meeting was the country’s reintegration process. The deputy PM highlighting the importance of support from international partners in promoting a peaceful and lasting settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, with the full observance of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The officials also reviewed the current state of the Moldovan-Canadian cooperation and reiterated their shared interest in further deepening the bilateral dialogue.
Valeriu Chiveri expressed his appreciation for Canada’s constant support to Moldova and thanked Ambassador Gavin Buchan for his contribution to strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between Moldova and Canada, wishing him success in his further diplomatic activity.
