Two days of learning, challenges, ideas, and connections. This is what the Bootcamp of the Joint Internship Programme of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova looked like, held on 8–9 July 2026 at Holercani Guesthouse.

Organized by the State Chancellery in partnership with the University Information Centre, with financial support from the European Union and Denmark through the project “Moldova is Europe: Support for EU Integration”, and from the Soros Foundation Moldova, the Bootcamp brought together the interns of the joint edition in a space dedicated to learning, collaboration, and personal and professional development.

The event was opened with welcoming remarks addressed to the young participants by Iulia Vacarenco, Deputy Head of the Public Service Management Division within the State Chancellery, Iana Pustovaia, Communication Manager within the project “Moldova is Europe – Support for EU Integration”, and Cristina Papanaga, Programme Coordinator at the Soros Foundation Moldova, who encouraged the young people to make the most of this experience as an opportunity for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

Over the course of two days, the young participants worked in teams, debated the challenges of public administration, proposed solutions for simpler public services that are closer to citizens, and reflected on the role they can play in the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova. Through interactive workshops, practical exercises, and dialogue with guests and alumni of the Programme, they developed their skills, exchanged experiences, and built valuable connections.

More than just a training session, the Bootcamp was an experience that challenged young people to think differently, to collaborate, and to discover that change begins with each person’s involvement. In the end, the interns left with new ideas, greater confidence, and the motivation to contribute to building a modern, innovative, and people-centred public service.
