Moldovan PM, SITA company's representatives discuss investment opportunities in Moldova

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has met representatives of SITA, a global company specializing in technologies and communications for the air transport industry. The discussions focused on investment opportunities and the development of the company’s activities in Moldova.

PM Vasile Tofan invited the company to consider the possibility of locating certain teams and technical services in Moldova, including by taking advantage of the benefits offered by Moldova IT Park. The prime minister highlighted the availability of qualified specialists, the favorable tax regime and the opportunities provided by the IT sector.

“We are open to investments and the government will be a reliable partner for investors. We have talented people and a favorable tax regime. I am confident that you will find good partners in Moldova, including among the international companies that are already present here,” said Prime Minister Vasile Tofan.

The sides discussed the possibility of developing cybersecurity, automated border management and airport services digitalization solutions in Moldova.

SITA representatives expressed willingness to assess long-term development opportunities in Moldova, including the country’s integration into international technical systems.

SITA is one of the leading global providers of technologies and communications for the air transport industry. Founded in 1949, the company currently serves more than 150 airlines and airports and has approximately 6,000 employees. SITA provides IT and logistics services for the transport industry and collaborates with about 70 governments, including in the border management area.
