Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with Chargé d’Affaires of United States in Moldova
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a working meeting with Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Moldova Nick Pietrowicz.
During the discussions, the sides addressed the latest developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, the actions undertaken by Moldova’s authorities to promote the country’s reintegration policies, as well as an exchange of opinions on the main challenges faced by the citizens of Moldova in the Transnistrian region. The officials underlined need to remove obstacles affecting the freedom of movement and the observance of human rights.
The U.S. chargé d’affaires reiterated the support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders, as well as the readiness to continue cooperation in support of the country’s reintegration efforts.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri expressed appreciation for the constant support provided by the United States to Moldova.
