Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri, accompanied by MP Larisa Novac and representatives of the Reintegration Policies Bureau, has paid a working visit to the northern Floresti district. The purpose of the trip was to assess the present situation in the localities located in the Security Zone perimeter: Sanatauca, Napadova and Japca.

During the visit, the officials held meetings with representatives of the local public administration and deconcentrated services, addressing issues of major interest for local communities and identifying the main challenges faced by citizens.

Among the topics discussed, there were the need to develop infrastructure in the settlements adjacent to the Security Zone, as well as the renovation and equipping of educational, cultural and medical institutions. In addition, given the importance of public administration reform, the officials encouraged communities to advance in the process of voluntary amalgamation.

Special attention was given to projects implemented through the Country Reintegration Activities Programme. Thus, in the village of Napadova, in 2023, the capital repair of the roof of the Family Doctors’ Office was carried out, with the investment amounting to 570 thousand lei. In the locality of Sanatauca, in 2024, the sports hall of the Public Institution Theoretical Lyceum “Alexei Mateevici” was renovated, a project financed with 750 thousand lei. To assess the implementation of the projects and the existing needs in the territory, the deputy PM visited the Family Doctors’ Center in the village of Japca. This year, the institution is to be repaired, with 800 thousand lei allocated for this project from the Reintegration Activities Programme.

At the same time, during discussions with residents, the deputy prime minister reiterated the government’s commitment to support citizens and communities in difficulty. The official emphasized that the European path of Moldova represented an essential opportunity for the development of localities, the modernization of infrastructure and the improvement of citizens’ living standards, including through access to investments and regional development projects.
