President awards Order of Honour to Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Cyprus
President Maia Sandu has awarded the Order of Honour to Marilena Raouna, Deputy Minister for European Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.
The distinction was conferred as a sign of high appreciation for the excellent cooperation and firm commitment to promoting the European Union’s enlargement policy during the period in which the Republic of Cyprus held the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, as well as for the support offered to the Republic of Moldova in advancing its EU accession process.
During the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Republic of Moldova officially opened negotiations for the first cluster of chapters, and technical negotiations were launched for another three clusters of chapters.
