Agenda of Moldova-Ukraine cooperation discussed at Foreign Affairs Ministry

The integration of Moldova and Ukraine into the European Union is a strategic priority for both states. This conclusion was agreed upon at a meeting between  State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Sergiu Mihov and Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Paun Rohovei.

According to the MAE, the two officials broadly discussed the priority topics on the bilateral agenda, noting the positive dynamic of the regional political relations.

“State Secretary Sergiu Mihov reiterated full solidarity with the Ukrainian people and reaffirmed the unwavering support of Moldova for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the MAE statement reads.

Ukrainian Ambassador Paun Rohovei expressed gratitude to the Moldovan authorities for their consistent political and diplomatic support in countering the large-scale aggression of Russia.

“During the discussions, the sides agreed that the integration of Ukraine and Moldova into the EU is a strategic priority for both countries. This will contribute to stability, security and economic development. Kyiv is interested in further interaction with Chisinau on the European integration track, including in the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania format,” said Paun Rohovei.

The Ukrainian diplomat reiterated Ukraine's position on the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict with the maintaining of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
