Moldovan foreign affairs minister informs about setting up of diplomatic council

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - A diplomatic council will be set up in Moldova, which will discuss topical subjects, as well as will facilitate the exchange of experience between diplomats. Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi today made statements to this effect during discussions with mass media.     

The official stressed that the new Council would be made up of former ambassadors, former foreign affairs ministers and opinion leaders.

„These people have a word to say thanks to their experience. We will discuss up-to-date subjects. We are set to listen to those who worked in complicated conditions and can help our diplomacy. At the beginning of my mandate, I set as priorities the professionalization of our diplomacy, extension of its presence, as well as of its pro-activity. Therefore, we ruled to create this Council,’’ Mihai Popsoi said.    

Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi today unveiled the results of his work in the first four months of his mandate.
