Speaker condemns Russia's night attack on Ukraine: Moldova stands with Ukraine and calls for immediate stop of war
Speaker Igor Grosu condemned Russia's nocturnal drone and missile attack on Ukraine. The official said “Moldova stands with Ukraine and calls for the immediate stop of this war that brings suffering to millions of Ukrainians.”
As a result of the attack, at least nine people were killed, and dozens of citizens were injured.
“A new massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine occurred last night. Ukraine continues to live in a nightmare. We must not forget this. Atrocities occur daily in the neighboring country, in a barbaric war waged by Russia. Moldova stands with Ukraine and calls for the immediate stop of this war that brings suffering to millions of Ukrainians,” said Igor Grosu.
Last night's Russian attack targeted the Ukrainian region of Kharkiv. The entire territory of Ukraine was under an air alert. Following the night attack, drones launched by Russia reportedly flew over the airspaces of both the Republic of Moldova and Romania, information confirmed by the authorities.
Russia targets Ukraine almost daily with drones or missiles. Energy infrastructures are especially targeted, raising fears of a harsh winter in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Kyiv regularly targets depots and oil refineries, as well as other installations on the Russian side.
