Speaker meets with Ukrainian Ambassador to Chișinău
The European path of Moldova and Ukraine, as well as the restoration of peace in Ukraine were the topics discussed on 19 November at a meeting between Speaker Igor Grosu and Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova Rohovei Paun.
Grosu emphasized that Moldova is making every effort to seek justice for Ukraine so that citizens of the two states can live in safety.
“I had a good discussion with the Ukrainian Ambassador to our country, His Excellency Mr. Rohovei Paun. We share a common desire to become part of the European Union and to restore peace in Ukraine. Moldova is making every effort to ensure justice for Ukraine so that Ukrainians and Moldovans can live safely,” stated Igor Grosu.
This morning, Grosu condemned the overnight drone and missile attack by Russia on Ukraine. This targeted the Ukrainian region of Kharkiv and resulted in at least nine deaths and dozens of injured citizens.
Following the overnight attack, drones launched by Russia reportedly flew over the airspaces of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, information confirmed by the authorities.
