Ambassador of State of Qatar visits MOLDPRES State Information Agency

Chisinau, November 4, 2025 // Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Moldova, Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Zaid Al-Mahmoud on November 4 paid a visit to the State Information Agency MOLDPRES, where he met with Agency's Director General, Vitalie Hadei. The discussions focused on developing institutional cooperation in the field of media and public communication.

Attending the meeting were also MOLDPRES Deputy Director, Viorel Buzdugan, and Cornelia Stefoglu, a representative of the Information and Multimedia Office.





The MOLDPRES director informed the ambassador about the Agency's activities, products and services provided, with an emphasis on the Monitorul Oficial (Official Journal) publication and the MOLDPRES news feed. At the same time, the sides highlighted opportunity for developing collaboration relationships between MOLDPRES and the similar media institution - Qatar News Agency (QNA).

‘’We talked about the possibility of signing a collaboration protocol with the official news agency from Qatar, which would facilitate the dissemination of information in both countries and contribute to promoting the image of Moldova and the State of Qatar. We also proposed identifying ways to organize documentation visits and experience exchanges between journalists and institutional communicators,’’ said Vitalie Hadei.

For his part, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar welcomed the intentions of cooperation in the media field, expressing his willingness to support the establishment of contacts between MOLDPRES and QNA.

‘’Building bridges of cooperation - that is our goal,’’ emphasized the Qatari diplomat, who presented the organization and the work of media institutions in the State of Qatar. His Excellency noted that such cooperation might contribute to strengthening public diplomacy and developing cultural and academic partnerships between the two states.





The sides also discussed the possibility of jointly organizing exhibitions, providing informational support for investors, as well as collaborating in the fields of tourism and culture.

Ambassador Al-Mahmoud received on behalf of the Agency a brochure of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, published by MOLDPRES.
