Citizens continue to register for energy compensation
Over 240,000 citizens have submitted applications to benefit from heating compensations for 2025-2026 cold season. This figure was reached within the first three days of the registration launch on http://compensatii.gov.md platform.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Natalia Plugaru announced that out of the total number of applications, over 125,000 were submitted with the registrars' help.
At the same time, call center staff provided support and phone counseling for 6,374 people who had questions regarding the registration process.
Natalia Plugaru emphasized that to benefit from compensations, all households must submit a request, regardless of whether they registered in the system last year or not. The request must be submitted by November 28 to receive compensations starting from November.
Help at the Meter program offers for the fourth consecutive year energy compensations to vulnerable households for November-March. The process of submitting applications for energy compensations was launched on 3 November.
The compensations will be offered in the form of a monetary payment, paid monthly. The information system will individually calculate the compensation value for each household, based on family income, the number of members, and their status (minor, person with disabilities, student), so that the support is provided proportionally to each family's needs.
The ministry has prepared a video guide, available on the institution's official website, where citizens can become familiar with each registration step.
