Group of children, young people participate in workshop on Easter subjects, organized by Moldova's parliament

A group of children and young people have started preparations for the Easter Holidays at parliament. They colored and decorated Easter eggs alongside Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Speaker of Latvia’s Saeima (parliament) Daiga Mieriņa, on a visit to Moldova.

The creative workshop brought together students from the Alexei Starcea School of Fine Arts and beneficiaries of the Buiucani sector's Technical Creativity Center from the capital.

Guided by fine arts teachers Veronica Tarasenco and Gabriela Gudima, the children colorfully decorated the Easter eggs in an original and creative way, working meticulously to transform each piece into a small work of art. In addition to traditional symbols, they painted various patterns such as geometric, floral, or abstract ornaments, conveying messages of peace and friendship through colors.

The officials encouraged the children and young people to continue their passion for art and traditions. The event was also a good opportunity to discuss the significance of the Easter Holidays and the holy Easter traditions specific to the two countries.

"The Easter Holidays represent time for reflection and celebration of traditions. With this workshop, we aimed to provide children and young people with a space to express their talent and creativity through art. It is truly moving to see how Easter symbols come to life in their artistic vision and transform into works full of originality," said Speaker Igor Grosu.

At the end of the workshop, the children received sweet gifts – chocolate bunnies, while the two parliament speakers received baskets with traditional Easter products. At the same time, the students enjoyed a guided tour in the plenary hall of the parliament.
