Moldovan authorities inspect hundreds of documents, vehicles, biometric profiles during I-FORCE operation

Moldovan authorities, along with Interpol experts and Ukrainian representatives, on October 27-31 inspected 345 travel documents, 682 vehicles and 189 biometric profiles using SEEK AVENGER technology and IMD mobile devices.

The operation took place at the Otaci, Palanca, and Tudora border crossing points, at the Eugen Doga International Airport and at the Temporary Placement Center for Foreigners.

Three Ukrainian experts joined the teams for experience exchange on the use of biometric technologies. Since the launch of the I-FORCE project in 2022, Moldovan authorities have collected over 900 biometric profiles, inspected 1,800 documents and 1,700 vehicles and detained seven internationally wanted individuals.

The operation proved the effectiveness of regional cooperation in preventing illegal migration, terrorism and cross-border crime, strengthening Moldova's capabilities in security.
