
Moldovan president conveys message on Chisinau's Dedication Day
President Maia Sandu has conveyed a congratulatory message to the residents of the Chisinau, on the occasion of the capital’s Dedication Day, traditionally celebrated on October 14. She emphasized the importance of people who contribute to the city’s development every day.
"Chisinau has the soul of the people who live in it, who love it and give it life every day. They represent its true treasure. Through them, the city grows and develops," the head of state said.
Maia Sandu urged the residents of Chisinau to continue to build together a modern, European city, where care for people and respect for urban heritage prevail.
"We should work together, so that, in just a few years, Chisinau becomes one of the capitals of the European Union," the president added.
In her message, Maia Sandu conveyed best wishes to all who live, work or contribute to the development of the capital: "Congratulations, Chisinau! Happy days ahead, dear residents of Chisinau!"
The celebration of Chisinau’s Dedication Day, held every year on October 14, the Feast of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, is one of the most important days for the capital. Traditionally, the event has religious, cultural and artistic manifestations, and brings together thousands of residents and guests from all over the country.
