President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola is visiting Chisinau to reaffirm the political support for Moldova's accession to the European Union.

In her speech, Roberta Metsola highlighted the courage and dignity of Moldovans who have chosen the European path for their country:


“The European Parliament cannot and will not close the door on this dream — a dream that will bring us together. (...) The European Union needs Moldova just as much as Moldova needs the European Union. The gates of Europe are open, and the time to start accession negotiations is now.”


In the morning, Roberta Metsola signed the Honorary Book of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and held a joint press conference with President Maia Sandu.
