Designated Prime Minister Vasile Tofan today requested the parliament’s vote of confidence for the government and his governing programme, focused on economic growth, modernization of the state and the continuation of Moldova’s European integration path.

Although opposition representatives praised some of the objectives presented, they announced that they would not support the investiture of the new cabinet.
