The visit to Chisinau by former Romanian international Adrian Mutu has brought a wave of enthusiasm and motivation to dozens of children passionate about football. “The Brilliant,” who holds the title of Romania’s all-time leading goal scorer with Gheorghe Hagi, met young sportspeople, offered them advice based on his experience at such clubs as Inter, Chelsea, Juventus and Fiorentina, and encouraged them to play with joy and passion. In addition to the motivational meeting, the visit laid the foundations for a long-term collaboration. The former striker is considering opening a football academy in Chisinau, modeled on the one in Romania, while in the short term he aims to organize trial tournaments and exchanges of experience between the two banks of the Prut River.
