Moldovan industrial entrepreneurs to benefit from Polish loan

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- The Economic Ministry has finished editing an operational manual providing for all the conditions needed to receive a ten-million-euro-worth loan, the Polish government is offering to enhance industrial components in Moldova. A contest for applicants will soon be announced.

According to a press release of the Economic Ministry, Moldovan economic agents will benefit from a 12-year installment plan, with a three-year grace-period, to purchase equipment, machinery and infrastructure components from Polish entrepreneurs.  

The financial value of the contracts for sales of goods must reach at least 0.5 million euros and not exceed 2.5 million euros. Also, the value of goods and services Polish entrepreneurs are providing within the contract must not be less than 60 per cent.

The general purpose of the assistance loan is to enhance competitiveness in the industrial sector by restructuring and modernizing it, and also to reach a gradual increase in the share of industrial products with high added value.

While the Economics Ministry gets to be in charge of 10 million euros out of the total 100-million-euro-worth loan offered by the Polish government, the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry received the remaining 90 million euros.
