Moldova marks 25 years of independence

Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/- Moldova marks today the 25th anniversary of independence, voted by the parliament on 27 August 1991.
The manifestations dedicated to this event started with laying flowers at the monument, Maica Indurerata (Grieving Mother), and monument to ruler Stefan cel Mare in Chisinau.
The official programme will continue in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) with a show for the inauguration of Independence Day. It will include a military parade, musical show, folk show, etc.
Spectators will have occasion to listen to the most popular songs of national folklore and to admire folk dance. At the same time, a retrospective of cultural events dedicated to the national holiday, Independence Day of Moldova, since 1991-2015 will also take place.
In the evening, a musical show will be performed in the PMAN, culminating with fireworks.
Manifestations dedicated to Independence Day are held in all cities of the country.
