Legal bodies to submit income tax statements till late March, individuals before end of April in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ – Legal persons, no matter of their organization and activity, as individual affairs, so farms are required to submit statements on tax revenue in 2016 up to 25 March, declared today in a press conference Olga Golban , Head of direct taxation and foreign taxation of the main State Tax Service.
She added that "as far as 25 March this year is a day – off, the working time – table of the Inspectorate and subdivisions will be extended until 27 March for the convenience of taxpayers, so as to allow them to file within the income declarations".
A new element is that the deadline for the declaration of income tax by individuals was extended until 30 April, also mentioned Olga Golban. The fiscal representative said that during the last three years Tax Service offers the service of "pre-filled statement."
The declaration deadline change was made through amendments to the Tax Code, which entered into force on 01 January 2017. All taxpayers possess the right to the income tax statement. It is compulsory to submit the declaration of income tax, for those persons who obtained the taxable income from more jobs or got under the salary income and other due to taxation incomes. For instance, out of two jobs or other sources, which cumulative revenues exceed 29.640 lei per year.
"The category of incomes which obtain individuals can include dividends, royalties or income from agricultural production sale. These revenues are not included in the declaration, while finally are taxed at the source of payment," said Olga Golban. She pointed out that the tax income statements can be presented both on paper and on-line, too.
In 2016 there declared their income tax 260 thousand people, out of which 170 thousand individuals.
There are two income tax rates applied to 07 per cent and 18 per cent. The tax of 07 per cent applies to the first tranche of taxable income, which is 29.640 lei for 2016. While the income exceeding that amount is taxed by 18 per cent.
