Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers approved the regulation on issuance and use of road transport authorisations in its meeting today. The document provides that authorisations for transport of goods and passengers will be requested and delivered on-line through information system "e-Transport authorisation", the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The regulation aims to establish clear principles and conditions of employment issue and use authorisations for road transport of goods and people. However, applications will be received and registered on-line, which will facilitate access to operators of permits and notify the operator in real time about the possibility or impossibility to satisfy the application submitted, indicating the denial reason.

The road authorisations will be issued by means of information system "e- Transport authorization" by the National Agency of Auto Transport (ANTA). Their distribution will be also done electronically, based on some determined criteria. The eligible transport vehicles registered in Moldova to carry goods in a foreign state are considered operators with valid licence for international road transportation of goods, have at least one eligible unit of transport and had not violated the terms of use of the earlier issued licences.

Similarly, the right to carry out the international road transport of passengers will hold operators which will be registered in data system "e-Transport authorization", using the registered means of transport, starting from 01 October 1993.

The provisions concerning the exclusive use of data system "e-Transport authorization" will come into effect on 01 January 2018.
