Moldova to have new professional holiday - Judicial Expert Day

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ – The government today approved a decision on the establishment of professional holiday – The Judicial Expert Day. As such, it is recognized "the importance and role of judicial expert's work in the administration of justice to conducting research that contributes to the truth in a trial".

The judicial expert was conferred a special status in the justice system through the law on legal expertise, adopted in April 2016. The judicial expertise is one of the legal instruments of providing reliable evidence that contributes to the aims of the judicial process, stated the Ministry of Justice. The Judicial Expert Day is set for 14 April.

According to the project authors, "the profession of legal expert has been raised to a higher rank in the justice system, and assigning a judicial expert professional day would highlight the profession and give him a good reputation with the policy maker factors and the general public".

Moldova has at least 32 professional days, dedicated to workers in various fields, including agriculture, banking, finance, justice, culture, social sphere and others.
