Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/- A new regulation on setting procedure for refusal of entry or exit from Moldova will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 8 September.

According to the General Inspectorate of Border Police, the new regulations aim to reduce the number of violations of the procedures for entry and exit from Moldova.

The regulation sets out the procedure and forms due to be filled in case of refusal of entry or exit from the country and the way to cancel visas. Under the regulation, the border guard will be able to cancel the visas given to foreigners by applying the stamp “CANCELED”. He will also be obliged to immediately inform the Foreign and European Integration Ministry and the competent authority for foreigners about the cancellation of the document.

At the same time, the border guard will have to record any refusal in a special register and indicate the date of refusal, personal data and legal reason of the decision.

According to the legislation, visas will be canceled if people have got them under false documents, if they attempted to illegally enter other foreigners on the territory of Moldova, if violated customs procedures or if have been declared undesirable. The person to whom the refusal measure is applied will get a copy of decision on a standard form.

In case of refusal to cross the state border by the means of transport, the drivers will receive a written decision. Foreigners will be informed about the refusal in an international language.
