Joint Control Commission resumes activity in Moldova

Chisinau, 07 September /MOLDPRES/ – The members of the Joint Control Commission (CUC) returned to the table of discussions marking the start of a new autumn – winter session. The Commission meeting was held in Bender city, being chaired by the Transnistrian delegation, where two topics were addressed in the agenda, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the OSCE Mission to Moldova informed about the intention to visit the peacekeeping force (FMP) posts in the Security Zone (ZS) on 07 – 30 September 2017 and the Joint Military Command (CMI) on 11 – 12 September 2017, in accordance with the provisions of point 05 of the document signed on 10 December 2014 setting out the principles of cooperation between the OSCE Mission and the CUC in the ZS.
The OSCE Mission Initiative was unanimously supported by the CUC members and the senior military commanders of the FMP.
Also, a weekly report on the situation in the ZS was heard and approved at the meeting.
The next CUC meeting is scheduled for 14 September 2017.
