Moldovan deputy prime minister meets with ambassador of Slovakia

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Gheorghe Balan, and Slovak Ambassador to Moldova, Robert Kirnag, met on the conclusion of the diplomatic mandate in Chisinau, today, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.  

On this occasion, Gheorghe Balan thanked the Ambassador for offering constant support, maintaining good bilateral relations between Moldova and Slovakia and supporting the Transnistrian settlement process.

The Deputy Prime Minister also informed the Slovak diplomat about the latest developments in the negotiation process, the prerequisites for a new round in the "5+2" format, the current situation in the Moldovan schools with Latin script teaching in the Transnistrian region, situation regarding the access of farmers in  Dubasari district on agricultural lands located along Ribnita – Tiraspol road, conditions that had to be met in order to ensure the admission of the left bank of the Dniester river to international traffic.

At his turn, Robert Kirnag noted that Slovakia would continue to support Moldova in promoting structural reforms and identifying ways to advance the solving of the Transnistrian issues.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Gheorghe Balan, wished successes in the following work to be done by Robert Kirnag.
