Museum Night. Parliament in Chișinău opens doors to visitors on Saturday

The Parliament in Chișinău is opening its doors to visitors as part of the Night of Museums, offering the public a special program with interactive activities dedicated to the history of parliamentarism, democracy, and the country’s European future. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, between 18:00 and 21:00.

The event is organized on the occasion of the Night of Museums and Parliament Day, which is celebrated annually on May 23.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the evolution of the parliamentary institution and to take part in interactive activities designed to familiarize the public with the legislative process and civic engagement.

The program will begin in the Parliament’s square, where the institution’s vintage cars will be on display and a photo area with national symbols will be arranged.

On the ground floor of the building, the public will be able to visit the Parliament’s museum, where documents, photographs, and objects illustrating important moments in the legislature’s activity are exhibited. Interactive contests will also be organized here, and citizens will be able to propose ideas for a more transparent Parliament, closer to the people.

On the second floor, participants will have the opportunity to deliver simulated speeches in the Parliament’s plenary. In the plenary chamber, short films about the institution’s activity will be screened, while in the hall there will be photo zones and a space dedicated to children.

The third floor will be dedicated to the European theme. Visitors will be able to admire an exhibition devoted to the libraries of European states and projects carried out by students, and will also have access to the Europe Hall, where official meetings and sessions of the Standing Bureau are usually held.

Access will be without prior registration, on the basis of an identity card. Children do not need documents but must be accompanied by an adult.
