Fuel prices keep falling
Standard-type fuels have become cheaper, with a decrease of about 0.75 lei per liter in the last week alone, and the trend will continue over the next three days, when petrol and diesel prices will drop by 0.15-0.16 lei.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) explained that the "trade war initiated by the USA with its partners, especially China, as well as the unexpected announcement from OPEC+ regarding the continuation of plans to increase crude oil production have created a real storm in the international oil and derived products markets."
As a result, both the Brent oil price and Platts quotations for petrol and diesel have plummeted to the lowest levels in the last five years.
Under these conditions, ANRE has set a maximum price for the next three days for COR 95 petrol at 23.02 lei per liter, down by 0.16 lei. For diesel, drivers will pay no more than 19.15 lei, by 0.15 lei less than today.
