Central and local public authorities, non-governmental organizations, research institutions, and educational institutions can benefit from funding under Interreg VI-C 2021-2027.
The project regarding the ratification of the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, the European Commission and Hauts-de-France region for Interreg VI-C 2021-2027 was voted today by the Parliament in the first reading.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Government Lilia Dabija said at the Parliament session that the total budget of the program is 395 million euros, funds allocated in the form of grants.
The program aims to improve public policies and institutional cooperation through funding projects implemented by an extensive transnational partnership. Additionally, beneficiaries are expected to provide 20% co-financing for activities included in the projects. The agreement will be valid for 15 years.
The program is implemented in the 27 member states of the European Union, as well as in Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine.
Also today, the Parliament adopted amendments to the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, the European Commission, and the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration of Romania for Interreg VI-a NEXT Romania – Republic of Moldova 2021 – 2027 Program, as well as to the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, the European Commission, and the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration of Romania for Interreg VI-B NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021 – 2027 Program.
