Moldovan president informs about simplification of processing of inheritance
President Maia Sandu today informed that the inheritance procedure would be simplified and become more financially accessible, following numerous complaints received on behalf of citizens during regional visits.
“At many of the meetings I have in local communities, people bring up the subject of the inheritance regime. I discussed with my colleagues from parliament and the law will be amended, so that, especially for the inheriting spouse, this procedure should become cheaper and simpler,” said the head of state.
At the same time, the Moldovan president emphasized that, following the legislative amendments from 2018, the process of resolving inheritance-related issues had become much more expensive and complicated for citizens. Thus, the parliament is set to make the amendments needed as soon as possible.
