Acting foreign affairs minister of Moldova does not rule out joining new cabinet of ministers
Deputy Prime Minister. Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi, at a TV show titled, In Context, today evening, said that, on October 31, the parliament would discuss the structure of the new government proposed by the nominated candidate for prime minister, Alexandru Munteanu, and he does not rule out joining the new cabinet.
According to the deputy PM, if the legislative process proceeds as planned, the government's swearing in might take place by the end of the week, thus marking the start of the new cabinet's mandate.
Mihai Popsoi emphasized the importance of this stage for strengthening the work of state institutions and for implementing government’s priorities in both domestic and international contexts.
"The parliament's decision on approving the structure and composition of the government will be a crucial step for ensuring political stability and continuing the reforms planned. I do not rule out that I will be part of the new governmental lineup," specified Popsoi.
Mihai Popsoi was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs in January 2024.
