PM-designate says had constructive consultations with parliamentary factions, to analyze proposals made
Prime Minister-designate Alexandru Munteanu has said that the proposals put forward by the parliamentary factions would be analyzed, with the new government's activities focusing on Moldova's development on its European path.
“We have concluded consultations with the factions. We had the opportunity to present the vision of the designated cabinet and its priorities. We explained what we intend to do for our path to prosperity, peace and the development of Moldova on its European path,” said Alexandru Munteanu.
The PM-designated noted that the discussions would continue and would involve all members of the cabinet of ministers in the long run, in order to ensure proper coordination of actions to be undertaken.
“We had constructive consultations with all factions, listened, proposed a consolidation, promised to consider constructive proposals and will establish a consultation platform with the entire cabinet. Today, during the consultations with the factions, I was present; and we will continue with the ministers. We will continue to work with all factions,” stated Alexandru Munteanu.
Referring to the government’s structure, Alexandru Munteanu specified that for now, the decision had been made to maintain the current government structure, with the same number of ministries and an analysis would be conducted over time to see if "changes for the better" can be made.
At the same time, Alexandru Munteanu emphasized that the new government's action program, made public October 28, would be supplemented over time with concrete actions, in order to ensure the achievement of the goals proposed.
According to the official, a priority for the new government will be strengthening the country's economic development, which can be achieved, in particular, through "improving the investment framework" and "attracting large investments."
Prime Minister-designate Alexandru Munteanu on October 28 unveiled the entire governmental team and the new government's action programme, which will be presented in parliament on October 31, in order to seek the deputies' vote of confidence.
