Ambassador of Moldova to Norway presents letters of credence to His Majesty King Harald V
Ambassador of Moldova to the Kingdom of Norway Viorel Ursu has presented his letters of credence to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, during an official audience held at the Royal Palace in Oslo.
On this occasion, the ambassador conveyed a congratulatory message on behalf of President Maia Sandu, on the occasion of Norway’s Constitution Day.
The sides also discussed the state visit to Oslo by the Moldovan president, which contributed to strengthening the political dialogue and deepening relations between the two countries. At the same time, the discussions focused on the current development priorities of Moldova, including its path towards accession to the European Union.
His Majesty expressed interest in the regional situation. The ambassador expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom of Norway to Moldova, as well as to Ukraine, a contribution that is essential for regional security and stability.
During his visit to Oslo, Ambassador Viorel Ursu also had more meetings with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), confirming the in-depth nature of the relations between the two states.
Viorel Ursu is the ambassador of Moldova to Sweden, also accredited to the Kingdom of Norway. He is a diplomat and expert in European affairs, with over two decades of experience in international relations, democratic development and the enlargement of the European Union. Viorel Ursu has represented Moldova as ambassador to the United States of America and the United Mexican States, contributing to the deepening of relations with these countries.
