Eight Moldovan MPs submit applications on resignation
The parliament took note of the resignation of eight MPs at the today’s plenary meeting.
It is about five deputies from the parliamentary faction of the 'Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) – Maria Acbas, Constantin Cheianu, Roman Cojuhari, Viorel Bostan, and Nicolae Draganel, two lawmakers from the parliamentary faction Our Party – Nina Cereteu and Stela Onutu, and one MP from the parliamentary faction 'Alternative' – Ion Ceban.
The applications on resignation were submitted in the context of the parliamentarians choosing to continue their activities in positions previously held. The MPs requested resignation as of November 14, 2025.
The draft decisions on the resignation of several deputies also stipulates that five parliamentary seats belonging to PAS, two parliamentary seats of Our Party, and one seat from the electoral bloc 'Alternative' will be declared vacant.
According to the provisions of the Law on the status of deputy in parliament, the vacant mandates will be allocated to the next substitutes on the electoral competitors' list. They are Ana Oglinda, Vladimir Rusu, Vasile Portevschi, Oleg Canatui, and Efimia Bandalac, elected on the list of the political party 'Action and Solidarity Party', Constantin Cuiumju and Alexandr Severin, elected on the list of the political party Our Party, and Angela Cutasevici, elected on the list of the electoral bloc 'Alternative'.
