European Commission increases financial support for Moldova by 2 million euros
Moldova will benefit from an additional non-reimbursable funding of 2 million euros from the European Commission to support ongoing justice reforms. The financial support is provided under the EU for Reforms Program, which brings the total grant awarded to our country to 29 million euros.
The foreign policy and European integration committee approved today the advisory opinion for initiating negotiations and signing an amendment to the Financing Agreement, signed in 2022.
According to the new provisions, the amount allocated for justice support will increase from 6.5 million to 8.5 million euros, thereby strengthening Moldova's efforts to meet the commitments made in joining the European Union.
The agreement's general objective is to enhance institutional resilience and promote structural reforms, particularly in key governance sectors.
