European Parliament President visits Chișinău
President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on 6-7 November.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, Metsola will attend the solemn session of the Legislature in Chișinău, and will deliver a speech on establishment of the 12th Legislature Parliament. Roberta Metsola also has a planned meeting with Speaker Igor Grosu.
The visit's agenda also includes a meeting with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, followed by a press conference. Additionally, Roberta Metsola will meet with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. The President of the European Parliament will also participate in a public event dedicated to youth, organized at Spiru Haret Theoretical High School in the capital city.
Previously, in November 2022, Roberta Metsola delivered a speech in the plenary session of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, conveying a message of support for Moldova's European path.
