Leaders of Patriotic Bloc of Socialists, Communists, Heart and Future of Moldova voted
Leaders of the Patriotic Bloc of Socialists, Communists, Heart and Future of Moldova went to the polls today to express their electoral choice in the parliamentary elections.
Igor Dodon, bloc's co-chair and leader of the socialists voted alongside his wife, Galina Dodon. He said he chose a “return to normalcy” and the development of the Republic of Moldova.
“The government should fear the people, not the other way around,” said Dodon.
The politician claimed that the opposition's victory is assured and announced a peaceful protest for tomorrow at 12:00, in front of the Parliament.
Vasile Tarlev, president of Future of Moldova party voted early in the morning together with his wife.
“I voted for peace, the unity of the Moldovan people, regardless of where they are – at home or abroad. We want a prosperous, developed and strong Moldova,” he said.
Today citizens of the Republic of Moldova are expected at the polls to elect representatives in Parliament. This is the 11th parliamentary election organized in the Republic of Moldova.
