Moldovan Central Electoral Commission to propose Constitutional Court to validate mandates of eight MPs

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will propose to the Constitutional Court to validate eight mandates of lawmakers in Moldova’s parliament.

At a today’s meeting, CEC acknowledged the vacancy of eight MP mandates in the parliament of Moldova assigned to the Political Party Action and Solidarity Party (PAS): Dan Perciun, Emil Ceban, Nicolae Popescu, Mihail Popsoi, Ludmila Catlabuga, Vladimir Bolea, Dorin Recean and Artur Mija.

In accordance with legal provisions, the Commission will propose to the Constitutional Court to validate the parliamentary mandates for the substitute candidates, namely: Igor Talmazan, Angela Munteanu-Pojoga, Veronica Cupcea, Veronica Briceag, Liliana Grosu, Alexandr Trubca, Gheorghe Ichim and Valeriu Cartin from the PAS list.

Also at the today's meeting, CEC accredited 12 people as national observers on behalf of the non-governmental organization Promo-LEX for monitoring the new local elections, due on November 16, 2025.
