Over 4,300 citizens voted in new local elections by 12:00

Over 4,300 citizens, representing 19.19% of voters voted by 12:00 in the new local elections held in six localities of the country.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, the most active voters are from Cremenciug commune, Soroca district, and Ustia village, Glodeni district, where participation exceeded 28% and 27%, respectively.

The voting process is proceeding without incidents. Citizens who cannot travel to the polling station can request a mobile ballot box at home until 14:00. The request must be accompanied by a medical certificate. The polling stations will close at 21:00.

Today, mayors are being elected in Ustia village, Glodeni district; Natalievca commune, Fălești district; Cremenciug commune, Soroca district; Bașcalia village, Basarabeasca district; Călinești commune, Fălești district; and Leova town, Leova district. Additionally, in Călinești commune, Fălești district, and Leova town, Leova district, a new local council will also be elected.
