The parliament today concluded a meeting of almost nine hours, during which more important decisions for citizens were approved, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has said.
Among the main topics discussed, there were amendments to the Budget Law, which provide for the allocation of funds for bonuses given to teachers at the end of the year, increasing compensations for the cold season and additional support for people with disabilities. "These are good things for the citizens of Moldova," emphasized Igor Grosu.
At the same time, the parliament examined a financing project from France, aimed at energy efficiency programs, which includes rehabilitation of buildings and the implementation of an energy consumption voucher system.
The most debated point of the session was the denunciation of the agreement on the Russian Cultural Center from Chisinau. The parliament speaker said that, "there has been everything but culture during this entire period," noting that the institution had served as a platform for propaganda and justification of the Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine.
In conclusion, Igor Grosu invited citizens to participate, on November 15, in the national greening campaign, encouraging the planting of trees to expand the country's forested areas.
