Aerial object unauthorisedly flies over territory of Moldova via Palanca, exits toward Ukraine
An aerial object today entered the airspace of Moldova after crossing the state border near the locality of Palanca, Stefan Voda district, according to the National Army’s Air Operations Service.
According to the authorities, the object was detected at 17:38, after it had entered the national airspace from the direction of Ukraine.
Five minutes later, at 17:43, the aerial object left the territory of Moldova, crossing the state border again into Ukraine, in the area of the locality of Gradinita, Odesa region, from the direction of the locality of Tudora.
Moldova’s Defense Ministry specifies that the unauthorized overflight of Moldovan airspace occurred in the context of August 26 air attacks carried out by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
National authorities, together with partners continue to monitor the country’s airspace, in order to ensure the security of the population.
